Checking out Sloppy Model code from CVS repository in Windows
Here are the steps for connecting to the CVS repository and checking out the current version of the code.
More about CVS commands can be found at the CVS website.
The following commands will create a directory called SloppyModels with all the SerialNetworkCode code inside.
Download and install WinCVS
In WinCVS:
If you are connected through AFS to your CCMR account and have full permission on this repository:
- Admin->Preferences->General
Enter the CVSROOT: N:\common\cvs (where N: is mapped to /afs/msc.cornell.edu)
Authentication: Local mounted directory
- Admin->Preferences->Global
Uncheck Checkout read-only
- Admin->Preferences->Ports
Verify that nothing is checked in this tab
- Create->Checkout module
Enter the module name and path on the server: SloppyModels/SerialNetworkCode
Local folder to checkout to: wherever you want the code locally.
Otherwise:
- Admin->Preferences->General
Enter the CVSROOT: :pserver:anonymous@cvs.ccmr.cornell.edu:/usr/common/cvs
Authentication: "passwd" file on the cvs server
- Admin->Preferences->Global
Uncheck Checkout read-only
- Admin->Preferences->Ports
Verify that nothing is selected in this tab
- Admin->Login
leave the password blank
- Create->Checkout module
Enter the module name and path on the server: SloppyModels/SerialNetworkCode
Local folder to checkout to: wherever you want the code locally.
