random surfaces
Surfaces (like those formed by amphiphilic molecules) that undergo random fluctuations in their configuration or energy or both. These fluctuations are primarily caused due to thermal noise i.e. the existence of a non-zero temperature.

rheology
Study of the deformation and flow of matter.

rigidity
rigid
Stiff and unyielding like a bar of metal.
