And just how thin are they? Well, the Le Gage Dam is 1.3 m thick at the
thinnest point. That's about 4 feet 3 inches. They (who are they?) say a person's
arm span is about the same as their height. That means that a person who is
just 4 feet 3 inches tall could touch both sides of the dam at the same
time!!
The Tolla Dam is 2.43 m thick at its maximum, which is just under 8 feet.
That's about the height of a normal ceiling.
