El Atazar Dam

El Atazar Dam is an arch dam.

It is higher than 17 houses on top of each other.

It is almost 7 houses wide at the bottom.

It holds back a lake of more than 750,000,000 bathtubs of water.

The dam is located in Spain.

Its lake is a supply for drinking water.

The El Atazar Dam cracked in the middle near the bottom.

This is a picture from a computer simulation of the cracking in the dam.

This is a headline from a Spanish newspaper that said the dam was not cracked.

But it was.

That is called politics.
