Single Matrix Manipulations
Matrices are useful in many branches of math, science, statistics, and economics. They are written as rows and columns of numbers (either real or complex), but can represent linear relationships between data, linear transformations stretching and twisting a space or an object, or local approximations to more general nonlinear relations. There are lots of matrix operations which are hard to learn to do by hand but easy to do on the computer (so long as your matrix is not too large! Please do not use matrices bigger than 10x10.)
