More on Hysteresis

Hysteresis, Avalanches, and Noise: Numerical Methods

In our research on hysteresis, avalanches and noise in magnetic systems, we have developed two efficient algorithms for simulating the zero temperature random field Ising model. In these pages, we have links to our paper on the algorithms, problems from the paper with additional information not present in the paper, executable versions of our simulations for Windows 95/NT and several versions of Unix, source code with documentation for Windows 95/NT and Unix, and links to other information on Hysteresis, Avalanches and Noise.

This research was paid for by the US Government through the Department of Energy (DOE #DE-FG02-88-ER45364), the National Science Foundation (NSF #DMR-9419506) and with an equipment grant from Intel.
